Luxor, Cairo and Siwa Oasis Horse Riding Holiday
Day 1: Arrival in Luxor
Check in at your guesthouse where the host will greet you with a warm welcome and make you feel at home. Meet the team from Desert Dreams and your travel partners. Relax until dinner time, then let us to enjoy the pleasant rich tasty food. Egyptian cuisine is a feast for the senses and will leave you craving more. Experience the exotic flavors, which are known for its aromatic spices, frech ingredients. Traditional dishes such as falafel, baba ghanoush, tahina. Take your time to savor each bite and appreciate the special flavors of the region. There is no better way to experience the rich culture of Egypt than through its delicious food.
Day 2: Valley of the Kings, and Sunset Horse Ride
The first morning of your holiday is filled with the promise of adventure and discovery. After a delicious breakfast, you begin to prepare for your first visit to the Valley of the Kings. You are about to walk amongst the tombs of some powerful rulers of Egypt. It is one of the most significant archeological sites in the world. It served as a royal burial ground for pharaohs and powerful nobles. Over 60 tombs have been discovered here, including the latest famous young Tutankhamun. Your guide will share fascinating stories about the tombs, and their structures. After your morning tour enjoy your lunch break, then get ready for the first riding adventure of the holiday. Meet the horses and your guides, have a short briefing and introduction to our horses. These horses are often medium sized between 14-15 hands high, they have a compact built, but it shouldn't make you think that they aren't strong. Their ability to navigate the varied terrain enable them to thrive in the Egyptian landscape. Also their graceful movements make them a joy to ride. When we are ready, we are going to head out to the desert, with the sky painted in the shades of dusk. You will ride through the local villages and farms, getting a glimpse of their daily life, children playing on the street, locals gathering together, or working on their farms.
Dinner will be served at your guesthouse.

Day 3: Sunrise Horse Ride and Habu Temple & Arrive in Cairo
An early wake-up, but with no regrets! Saddle up and head out before dawn. As the first light peeks out over the desert, the landscape comes alive around you. You will see colourful hot air balloons begin to rise gracefully in the sky. The balloons against the sky creates a magical scene, and the sight is captivating. What a perfect start to the day. (Please not, that the balloons only fly if weather condition allows it).
After the ride, have your breakfast and visit an impressive ancient Egyptian temple called Habu. Built during the 20th Dynasty, this temple is dedicated to the pharaoh Ramesses III.
Later we will take a short internal flight to Cairo (the flight is not included in the package).
As our plane touches down in Cairo, you will notice the air is alive with the sounds of bustling streets, the aroma of spices and street food, locals hanging around in colourful markets, and tourists taking in the sights. After arriving at our accommodation we will have a chance to relax and gaze at the Pyramids before dinner is served for us at the rooftop.
Day 4: Pyramids Horse Ride & Museum Visit
Wake up to a lovely morning, the air is filled with history, and the atmosphere is buzzes with excitement as people came from different places to witness these iconic sites. Have your breakfast with epic views, then it is time to get closer to this remarkable ancient site. The horses will be waiting for us inside the complex. As you mount your horse, which is chosen to you by our expert guide, its hard to miss the backdrop which is unlike any other. The ride takes us along sandy trails, where these magnificent horses will lend us the wings to fly. Galloping next to the seventh wonders is definitely a bucket list thing for every equestrian, no wonder why. We will have several photo opportunities during the trip, to capture you and your horse with the grand structures.
After the morning tour, we will have our lunch break, then the next adventure continues in the Museum. Your local guide will accompany you on this trip, where you will see the colossal statue of Ramses II.
Dinner will be served at the guesthouse.

Day 5: Transfer to Siwa
Our next destination is waiting, it is time to say goodbye to Cairo for now. After breakfast we will check out and start the journey to Siwa. An 8-hour drive in a comfortable, air-conditioned minibus or car, with snacks, and breaks along the way to ensure a pleasant journey. Siwa is one of the hidden gems of Egypt, surrounded by lash palm trees, salt lakes and desert. You could easily spend a week there, and not get bored, breathtaking sunsets, authentic local food, diverse landscapes, cultural sites, hot springs and many more.
Day 6: Hot Springs & Sunset Horse Ride
Try some local dishes in the morning, have your coffee and tea then get ready for another wonderful day. After breakfast we will depart from our guesthouse and we will visit hot springs of Siwa, offering warm, mineral-rich waters that are believed to provide various health benefits, including skin rejuvenation and relaxation.
After your lunch break we will saddle up for a sunset riding adventure. The vast openness of the landscape, provides a sense of freedom. Soak in the beauty of your surroundings, this picturesque backdrop makes every moment feel like a scene from a movie.

Day 7: Full Day Desert Ride
​​Today you will discover the Great Sand Sea on a horseback. Get ready for a 5-6 hours exhilarating riding adventure. Explore stunning landscapes, and witness the natural beauty of this enchanting place. It is hard to describe the feeling of galloping across the open desert, but you will have the chance to experience this. We just say it here: the ``Yalla`` feeling. When your guide will say this magic word, suddenly the wind rushes past you and you and your horse move swiftly across the endless stretches of sand.
The local horses are called Baladi horses a unique breed that originated in Egypt. With their elegant movements and flowing manes, Baladi horses are a sight to behold. These horses are known for their courage, power, intelligence, and their kind nature and willingness to please. There are so many great stories about how these horses were loyal to their owner. Horses were so important to the Bedouins; they kept the mares in their tents which explains why they are connect with humans on a different level. The best companions for a long desert trail.
Day 8: Jeep Safari Tour
Today you will drive through the stunning landscapes of the desert, providing an exciting way to explore the unique terrain and experience the natural beauty of the region. Witness vast expanses of golden sands, and striking rock formations. Enjoy a traditional Bedouin meal, experiencing local hospitality and culture. This adventure promises an exhilarating and memorable experience.
