Horse Riding and Yoga Retreat in Luxor
Day 1: Arrival in Luxor
As the plane touches down in Luxor, a world of enchantment awaits you. Step onto Egyptian soil, where the history and the vibrancy of the present come together. Your adventure begins the moment you step into the ancient land. Meet the team from Desert Dreams and your travel partners. An Egyptian dinner is like a flavor explosion. The vibrant colors, bold spices, and aromatic herbs come together to create a unique sensory experience. You will be staying in a local family-run guesthouse. Your hosts will greet you with a warm welcome. Arabic people are known for their generosity and hospitality, in these guesthouses you can see it for yourself. They will treat you like a family member. An excellently prepared dinner will be served for you at the hotel. These dishes reflect the rich culture and history of this ancient land.
Day 2: Yoga & Horse Ride, Hatshepsut Temple
We invite you to immerse yourself in the serene practice of yoga. Get ready to let go of the day and with each inhale feel the energy of the rising sun infuse your body with warmth and vitality. With each exhale, release any tension or worries, allowing them to dissolve into the earth below.
Try some local dishes in the morning, have your coffee and tea, and, then get ready to visit the famous Hatsepsut temple. Find out interesting facts about her reign.
After lunch, take some time off to relax then get ready for the riding tour. You will be riding Arabians and mixed local breeds. These horses are known for their courage, power, and intelligence so easy to fall in love with them. Our first ride will take you across the village and sugar cane fields. Where you can watch the sunset and know this is a promise of a new dawn. When the sun is close to the horizon the game begins. Fill up your soul with a piece of art that involves the sun. Ride along the ancient land and admire the landscape.
Dinner will be served at the guesthouse.

Day 3: Yoga and Horse Ride
Start your day off on the right foot with a morning yoga session. The journey of yoga and connecting with yourself is a lifelong adventure. It can help to keep a harmonious and balanced life. After your peaceful morning, enjoy some time off by the pool. After lunch head to the stable where the horses will be waiting for you. As you pass through traditional villages along the way notice their daily routines and the warm hospitality that makes Egypt so welcoming. Ride through lush banana plantations and immerse yourself in the sights and scents of the countryside.
Dinner will be served at the guesthouse.
Day 4: Valley of the Kings, Yoga and Sunset Boat Sailing
Begin your morning with a yoga sessions led by experienced instructor against the breathtaking landscape. The physical practice of yoga, when combined with mindfulness and breath awareness, unites our body, mind, and spirit. This creates a deeper sense of alignment and connection with ourselves. Today you will discover the Thombs of Pharaohs also known as the Valley of the Gates of the Kings. See the extraordinary hieroglyphic texts that celebrate the Pharaohs and Gods. Witness howthe royals prepared themselves for the next life, and learn about the royal burial grounds. After a morning full of historical sights enjoy your lunch then relax before the afternoon adventure. At late afternoon we set sail, and admire panoramic views of the city's iconic landmarks. Spot the Temples of Luxor as they shimmer in the golden light of the setting sun. When the sun begins to set witness a breathtaking view of the sky which turns orange and pink. Flavorful dinner will be waiting for you at the guesthouse.

Day 5: Sunrise Horse Ride, Yoga and Habu Temple
Have An early wake-up, but expect it to be eye-catching. Watch the sun rising up slowly and let the first rays of the sun touch your skin. Get into the saddle before dawn and ride out. Witness this beauty, the fresh air, the first lights, which make the Nile River shine. Birds start to sing and fly around the palm trees. You will notice that how wonderful nature is. When you arrive in the desert you will be surprised at the view as the Hot air balloons are rising with the sun in the sky. Today you will also have a chance to visit Medinet Habu Temple. As you approach the temple, you'll be amazed by the imposing outer walls with carvings and colossal statues of pharaohs. The grand entrance sets the stage for the magnificence that lies within. Our knowledgeable Egyptologist guide will accompany you throughout the visit, providing fascinating historical insights and stories about the temple. For non riders there is an early morning yoga session. After your tours you will have some time to relax and to enjoy your lunch meal. Then we invite you for a meditation session. Through the power of mindfulness unlock your inner peace. You will have a relaxing afternoon, where you can bask in the sun.
Yoga encourages moments of self-observation. While practicing yoga we have an opportunity to reflect on our thoughts, feelings, and deeper understanding of our inner world. After an eventful day enjoy the taste of Egypt as you savor each bite of your delicious dinner.
Day 6: Karnak and Souk Visit, Horse Ride & Yoga
By engaging in yoga regularly with an open heart, we embark on a transformative journey of selfdiscovery and self-connection. Throughout this practice, we learn to listen to our intuition, honor our needs, and embrace the essence of who we truly are. Then we will invite you for a meditation session. Release stress and anxiety as you journey through relaxation techniques designed to ease tension, restore balance, and promote a sense of overall well-being. After your breakfast and yoga session we will saddle up for the last ride of this holiday. Embrace the feeling of freedom as you gallop through the golden sands. After lunch head to the famous Karnak Temple. Visit the ruins of ancient Egypt. Wander around the chapels and pylons, and gain knowledge about this magical place. Then get a glimpse of an Egyptian market and show off your bargaining skills. Pick up some souvenirs to take home with you. As this will be our last night we will have a dinner BBQ at the stable. Pile up your plate with your favorite dishes and enjoy the moment with your travel companions.

Day 7: Departure
Have your breakfast and check out from the Guesthouse.
As you say goodbye to Egypt, remember the new friendships you’ve made and the cultural experiences that have enriched your life. Take a moment to look back on your photographs and souvenirs, which will remind you of the incredible adventures you’ve had. Hopefully, we will see you for another adventure.

The retreat provides participants with an opportunity to reconnect with nature, and embrace their physical and mental well-being. This Horses and Yoga program combines the serenity of yoga with horseback riding in the breathtaking scenery of ancient Egypt.
