Cairo, Siwa Oasis, and Luxor Horse Riding Holiday
Day 1: Arrival in Cairo
As the plane touches down in Cairo, a world of enchantment awaits you. step onto Egyptian soil, where the history and the vibrancy of the present comes together. From the bustling streets to the iconic landmarks. Your adventure begins the moment you step into Cairo's land. Meet the team from Desert Dreams and your travel partners. Enjoy your local meal with the great view of the Pyramids. An Egyptian dinner is like a flavor explosion. The vibrant colors, bold spices, and aromatic herbs come together to create a unique sensory experience.
Day 2: Charter flight to Siwa and Sunset Horse Ride
Try some local dishes in the morning, have your coffee and tea then get ready Today, we’ll take a short charter flight to Siwa Oasis (included in the price), a hidden gem tucked away in the desert.
The flight takes approximately 1.5 hours After checking into our traditional guesthouse, we’ll head to the stables to meet the horses and begin our first riding adventure.
A sunset desert ride awaits us, just a small glimpse of the unforgettable experiences that lies ahead in the coming days.
Day 3: Morning tour to the Salt lakes and Sunset ride to Oracle Temple
Start your day with a traditional local breakfast in this peaceful setting, then get ready for a morning tour to explore the salt lakes.. We’ll travel by car to the area and enjoy a picnic lunch by the lakes, taking in the serene atmosphere while experiencing the therapeutic effects of the mineral-rich waters. It’s believed that swimming here offers numerous health benefits. Float effortlessly and relax in these stunning surroundings.
In the afternoon, we’ll saddle up for a horseback ride to the village and the Oracle Temple, where our Egyptologist guide will meet us and share the fascinating history and legends of this remarkable site.
Day 4: Half Day Desert Ride and Visit Shali Fortress
Today, you’ll discover the Great Sand Sea on horseback, get ready for an exhilarating 4–5 hour ride through breathtaking desert landscapes. It’s hard to put into words the feeling of galloping across the open desert, but you’ll soon understand it for yourself. We call it the “Yalla” feeling in that moment when your guide calls out the word, the wind rushes past you, and you and your horse move effortlessly together across endless stretches of sand. You’ll be riding the Baladi horses, a unique Egyptian breed known for their elegant movement, strength, intelligence, and gentle nature. Their loyalty to humans runs deep, the Bedouins once kept their mares inside their tents, forging a bond that made these horses not just companions, but family. They are truly the perfect partners for a long desert trail. In the afternoon, our guide will meet us again for a visit to the Shali Fortress, a fascinating historic site and a wonderful place to pick up a few local souvenirs to take home.
Day 5: Charter flight to Cairo
This morning, enjoy some free time to relax before we take our charter flight back to Cairo.
Unwind by the pool or take a refreshing swim, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere of this remarkably tranquil oasis. As new adventures await us in Cairo and Luxor, it’s time to say goodbye to beautiful Siwa.In the late afternoon, we’ll arrive at our hotel in Cairo, where you can enjoy spectacular views of the Pyramids, the perfect way to end the day.
Day 6: Horse Ride at the Pyramids and Arrival to Luxor
This morning, something truly special awaits us, an experience found on many travelers’ bucket lists: riding around the Pyramids. Today, we’ll have the chance to tick it off with style.
Galloping beside 3,500 years of history is an extraordinary feeling, and you’re about to experience it firsthand. After the ride, we’ll enjoy lunch, then check out of our hotel. Our driver will be waiting to take us to the airport for a short internal flight to Luxor (flight not included).
Day 7: Valley of the Kings and Sunset Horse Ride
Luxor is a truly special place, even the pharaohs chose it as their final resting ground and the site for their magnificent temples, and it’s easy to see why. There’s so much to explore and experience here, and it’s one of the best places to witness the authentic side of Egypt.
This morning, you’ll visit the Valley of the Kings with an Egyptologist guide, who will bring ancient history to life through fascinating stories. Marvel at the vibrant hieroglyphs and discover how the pharaohs prepared for the afterlife.
In the afternoon, we’ll saddle up for a ride through the local farms and villages, offering you a wonderful glimpse into the rhythm of everyday life in Egypt.
Day 8: Sunrise Horse Ride & Karnak Temple
Have An early wake-up, but expect it to be eye-catching. Watch the sun rising up slowly and let the first rays of the sun touch your skin. Get into the saddle before dawn and ride out. Witness this beauty, the fresh air, the first lights, which make the Nile River shine. Birds start to sing and fly around the palm trees. Be amazed at how wonderful nature is. When you arrive in the desert you will be surprised at the view as the Hot air balloons are rising with the sun in the sky. After the ride, be pleased with your breakfast and relax before heading to the famous Karnak Temple.Have your lunch before meeting your lovely guide, and go to the ruins of ancient Egypt. Wander around the chapels and pylons, and gain knowledge about this magical place. Get a glimpse of an Egyptian market and show off your bargaining skills. We will return to the hotel for dinner. The local spices add a whole dimension to the taste. Smell the freshly prepared food, sure you are going for another round.
Day 9: Horse Ride & Habu Temple, and Transfer to Hurghada
Have your breakfast and prepare for the last ride in Luxor with your favorite horse around the village, stop by Habu Temple. Visit the gorgeous pylons and hieroglyphs on the wall, some of them are still colorful. After the morning tour return back to your hotel to freshen up and, check out. Enjoy your meal before your transfer to Hurghada. Feel the breeze of the Sea as you get out of the car. Enjoy the soothing sound of the water as you savour a delicious meal.
Day 10: Boat and Snorkeling Trip
Rise and shine travelers! A fresh day means new places to discover. We are going to board a boat to peek into the underwater world, search for dolphins, and to bask in the sun. You will have the chance to snorkel in the crystal-clear Sea, and explore magical coral reefs and colorful fishes.
Day 11: Swim with Horses & Departure
Have your breakfast with a wonderful view. We let some great fun for you before your departure. Today you will have a chance to swim with horses, this activity is on many people’s bucket lists no wonder why. Splash into the crystal clear water. Ride your horse bareback, and lead them into the Sea. After the morning trip, refresh yourself at
the hotel and check out. As you say goodbye to Egypt, remember the new friendships you’ve made and the
cultural experiences that have enriched your life. Take a moment to look back on your photographs and souvenirs, which will remind you of the incredible adventures you’ve had. Hopefully, we will see you for another adventure.
