DAY 1 - ARRIVAL

Welcome to Cairo, the vibrant capital city of Egypt. Here ancient history meets modernity, where bustling markets and magnificient landmarks await to be discovered. Meet the team from Desert Dreams and your travel partners. Enjoy your local meal with the great view of the Pyramids. An Egyptian dinner is like a flavor explosion. The vibrant colors, bold spices, and aromatic herbs come together to create a unique sensory experience. Wonder about the greatest mystery on the planet while looking at the Pyramids in the night light.

DAY 2

• All meals.

• Horse riding for 2 hours.

• Saqqara Pyramids.

• Transfer to Fayoum

• Accommodation in Fayoum.

Try some local dishes in the morning, have your coffee/tea then get ready for a riding adventure.  You will be riding mixed Arabians and local breeds. These horses are known for their courage, power, and intelligence, so easy to fall in love with them. There are so many great stories about how these horses were loyal to their owner. Horses were so important to the Bedouins; they kept the mares in their tents which explains why these horses connect with humans on a different level. Ride along the ancient land, and admire the view of the Pyramids. Take fascinating photos, race in the desert, and experience the joy of this trip. After your ride, we will take you back to your hotel where you can freshen up, have your lunch, then get ready for the afternoon tour. Prepare to embark on a fascinating journey deep into Egypt's rich history. Your knowledgeable guide will accompany you. Saqqara is an ancient burial ground, its considered to be some of the oldest stone structure in the world. This impressive structure served as the final resting place for Pharaoh Djoser.  After the tour we will make our way to the beautiful Fayoum oasis, where we are going to stay in a guesthouse. 

Celebrate this full day with flavorful Egyptian dishes.

DAY 3

• All meals.

• Horse riding (4-5hours).

• Pottery factory visit.

• Accommodation in Fayoum.

Wake up to a lovely morning, and try some local food for breakfast before the adventure begins. Gear up and get ready to conquer the desert. Along the way you will be greeted by breathtaking scenery, like lake Qarun, and the endless vast desert dunes.  The untouched beauty of this region will leave you mesmerized. We will enjoy our lunch break with beautiful views. Then we make our way back home through the desert. 

In the afternoon, we are going to visit a pottery factory run by a family, here you can see and practice how to make plates, mugs, and decorations from clay. Closing of this day will be a delicious dinner at your guesthouse.

DAY 4

Get up to the sound of dawn, have your tasty breakfast, and be ready for a half-day desert tour by a 4x4 vehicle. During the day visit Wadi Al Hitan also known as the Valley of the Whales. This is an incredible open-air museum for whale fossils. This
area used to be underwater 40 million years ago. After spending some time here and discovering some museum pieces, we will drive to meet the horses and we will continue our trip on a horseback. Lunch will be served in the desert. A full day of beautiful landscapes. The lake`s turquoise water against the dramatic desert backdrop is truly captivating. So get your cameras ready, and capture it! This peaceful place will allow you to escape everyday life and to fully immerse yourself in this serene paradise. Watch a beautiful sunset as it melts across the horizon. Fall in love with the colors of sundown.

Dinner will be served for you at the guesthouse.

DAY 5

• Transfer to Cairo

• Internal flight between Cairo and Luxor (not included)

After having our delicious breakfast, get ready to drive back to Cairo. We will take a short internal flight to Luxor. The moment you step foot in Luxor, you will feel a sense of history in the air. The city is referred to as the ``World`s Greatest Open Air Museum``.  Check in to the guesthouse where your host will prepare local dishes for lunch.  Afternoon will give you some free time to relax, jump in the pool or bask in the sun. Later we will board a boat, to watch the sunset and the surrounding area from the famous Nile River. The swaying palm trees lining the riverbanks and the distant sounds of the city fades away, allowing you to escape into a world of beauty and tranquility. Witness the the setting sun. Thy sky transforms into a palette of vibrant colors. 

We will return to the guesthouse where dinner will be served.

DAY 6

• Valley of the Kings

• Hatshepsut

• Colossi of Memnon

• Horse riding (2 hours)

Pile up your plate with traditional dishes, like falafel, freshly made pita bread, and fresh vegetables. Enjoy
a glass of mint tea or coffee while savoring the flavors of this delicious and nutritious breakfast.
Today you will step into the mysterious and sacred world of the Valley of the Kings and discover its
hidden secrets. Colorful hieroglyphs and golden statues tell the stories of these important figures. Marvel
at the majestic size of the tombs, some as deep as 350 feet. Later visit the Temple of Hatshepsut. She was

the first female ruler. The temple has an impressive structure that has stood the test of time. It is an awe-
inspiring monument that will leave you with everlasting memories. After a morning full of historical

sights enjoy your lunch then relax before the afternoon adventure.
Venture out on a horseback to see the village and local farms. Feel the wind in your hair and the sun on
your skin as you ride through sugar cane fields and banana plantation. Have an up close and personal look at everyday life, and ride alongside friendly locals.
As you are riding through the spectacular scenery you will have chances to galop. Return back to the
stable with the horses while the sky turns into red and orange. Flavorful dinner will be waiting for you at
the guesthouse.

DAY 7

• Sunrise Balloon horse riding (3 hours)

• Karnak Temple 

• Souk Market

An early wake-up, but with no regrets! Saddle up and head out before dawn. As the first light peeks out over the desert landscape, the eastern horizon is flooded with a gorgeous orange glow. When you arrive in the desert you will be surprised at the view as the Hot air balloons are rising with the sun in the sky. After the ride, your local breakfast will be ready for you. Then relax before heading to the famous Karnak Temple which represents the greatness of ancient Egypt. Have your lunch before meeting your lovely guide. Admire the grandeur of its towering columns and hieroglyphs. Egyptian markets should not be missed. Pick up souvenirs to take home with you. Find unique items, such as vibrant fabrics, spices or antiques, all for bargain prices. Luxor`s souk market also offer the opportunity to immerse yourself in the local culture. Allow yourself to be enchanted by the sights, sounds, and scents. After exploring we will return back to the guesthouse for dinner.

DAY 8

Have your breakfast and a relaxing morning. You have had so many adventures by now, sure you are happy to get some free time by the pool. Then step into a unique cultural experience as you enter a traditional Egyptian kitchen. You will gain insight into the secrets of Egyptian dishes. Watch as the ingredients come together creating delicious masterpiece. After your culinary journey and lunch we will saddle up and ride through the farms, villages to the desert. On the way, you will meet friendly locals and have a glimpse on their daily lifestyle. Gallop in the desert, enjoy the last ride of this amazing holiday. Race with your travel companions who became your friends by now. After returning back to the stable, we will celebrate the last day with a BBQ dinner at the stable.

Please keep in mind that all travelers must have a valid insurance throughout the trip, which covers all the activities
they are undertaking. Liability form to be signed by all travelers prior to the tour/holiday

Tipping is not included, so please calculate in your budget a 75 EUR tip/person for a week holiday. This amount will
be shared between guides, drivers, hotels and stables.

Please note that when making a booking, a 25 % deposit is required which is non refundable in case of cancellation. If cancelled 14 days prior holiday date, 50% is non-refundable.
